Pilates is for Every Body
Yes, it’s supposed to be two words. When you learn about the history of Pilates, and the environment that it was first created in, you start to understand why Joseph Pilates created this modality, and his passion for what he called Contrology. At the heart of Pilates is the belief that every body can work through these movement patterns. There may be adaptations needed, or props necessary, but if a body can breathe, it can complete Joseph’s work.
Pilates meets you where you are
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be in top physical shape to do Pilates. You don’t have to be able to do 10 pushups, or hold plank for 5 minutes. Pilates meets you where you are, in the best shape of your life, or with a lot of growth. Jacqueline is happy to walk beside you and guide you to your goals.

Joseph Pilates 6 principles of Contrology move far beyond physical effort, and work to bring the body and mind into a space of co-operative effort. The way you feel after a class or session isn’t just about the physical work, but also the time spent focusing on your breath and moving our body with precise but fluid movements. Finishing a session knowing that you’ve set your body, and your mind up for success is one of the most amazing feelings.
